SUPERPOSITION OF SUPPLY CHAINS CLASSIFICATION BY ONTOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

AbstractTo establish a Supply Network for multi dimensional processes and models it is a very efficient and beneficial approach to focus first of all on the space of Supply Chains with several dimensions like time, process class, tiers, supply values, costs, etc. and use the method of superposition to map the Supply Chain space to the Supply Network space. Before that all business oriented issues as agreeing/aligning of business strategies and business models must be tackled and sufficient solved. It will be shown that a specific mapping of the space of Supply Chains to the space of Supply Networks can be done by use of ontological methods. An Ontology for a class of Supply Networks in relation to the underlying Supply Networks selects the appropriate Supply Chains used to compose the relevant subset of Supply Networks by superposition of the Supply Chains.
