On-line Analyser optimizing mill feed at FQM Kevitsa Nickel-Copper-PGE mine

The new on-line analyser version has been tested first in FQM Pyhasalmi Cu-Zn mine and then in FQM Kevitsa Ni-Cu mine in analyzing primary crushed ROM -ore. This paper reports results of these tests. The new on-line analyser is part of ore grade control system in loading. This new analyser and new information enables new optional methods to control and optimize ore grade in loading. Short economic calculation shows obvious benefits of the new methods. There is ongoing research and development in FQM Kevitsa mine to optimize use of the new system.
