Investigations on Ag2S/PVA-PEG polymer nanocomposites: An effectual nonlinear optical material

Ag2S/PVA-PEG polymer nanocomposites have been prepared by solvent casting method. Prepared polymer composites have been characterized by various characterization tools. XRD pattern of pure Ag2S reveals that the material belongs to monoclinic system and in nano phase. XRD pattern of the composite confirms the presence of Ag2S nanoparticles in the polymer matrix. Vibrational nature of the bond presented in the prepared material has been analyzed by recording the FTIR. SEM picture confirms that the surface smoothness of the sample. Optical studies were carried out and the band energy was also determined. Z-scan measurement has also been carried out for the prepared sample.
