The adjustment of the ultrasonic homogenizer parameters led to a uniform coverage of parylene C surface in microscale since the fabricated GNPs match the pores diameter of the polymeric support. The obtained system allows for controlled drug delivery up to 7 days following the Korsmeyer-Peppas kinetic model. The proposed fabrication and immediate docking of GNPs is simple, efficient, and environment-friendly one-step process while preserving the molecular structure of the drug. The method can be straightforwardly implemented for other drug-polymeric coating couples, thus can be considered as very attractive for the development of controlled antibiotic release implant coatings.201
