Delivery of NF-κB shRNA using carbamate-mannose modified PEI for eliminating cancer stem cells

NF-κB targeted shRNA was delivered via forming nanocomplexes with carbamate-mannose PEI. These nanocomplexes transfected shRNA more effectively than unmodified PEI. Transfection of the shRNA reduced CSC population, inhibited cancer cell migration and invasion, impaired cancer cell colonogenic ability and sensitized cancer cells to anticancer drug treatment.271
