The relationship between bright- and dark-side personality traits

This study examines how the “dark side” factors of the Hogan Dark Side Model, which measures subclinical personality pathology, can be expressed by different constellations of facet-scores on the Hogan Seven Factor Model of “bright side” personality. Most “dark-side” measures are associated with high Neuroticism/low Adjustment and low Agreeableness/Interpersonal Sensitivity. Results support previous meta-analytical findings using facet-level traits. Limitations and implications are noted.
