Cannabinoid receptors activation and glucocorticoid receptors deactivation in the amygdala prevent the stress-induced enhancement of a negative learning experience

► Stress enhanced the consolidation of memory for reduction in reward magnitude. ► The effects of stress were long-lasting (i.e., lasted for at least a week). ► Intra-BLA cannabinoid agonist prevented the stress-induced enhancement. ► Intra-BLA glucocorticoid receptors antagonist also prevented the stress effect.
