Cognitive impairment in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, clues from the SOD1 mouse

The present review aims at providing an overview of the data obtained with the SOD1 animal models first and foremost on the cortical and subcortical regions, the cortico-striatal and hippocampal synaptic plasticity, dendritic branching and glutamate receptors function.
