Analysis of electromagnetic pre-seismic emissions using Fisher information and Tsallis entropy

► A Fisher information measure estimation is proposed in terms of symbolic dynamics. ► Symbolic Fisher information measure (SFIM), is used to analyse EM precursor data. ► It detects the organization level of the data and the underlying fracture processes. ► SFIM and Tsallis non-extensive entropy analysis results are generally in agreement. ► Both highlight the persistent part, while Tsallis entropy the anti-persistent too.
