► We model evolutionary games on weighted complex networks. ► Standard uncorrelated weight distributions are used together with Barabasi-Albert and bipartite network topologies. ► In all cases, uncorrelated weight distributions originate small differences in cooperation w.r.t. the unweighted cases.
