► We propose an ideal n-depth clique network model (ICN). ► We construct a bus transport network model (ICNBTN) with ICN topology. ► The ICNBTN has a good topology structure for bus transport networks. ► The ICNBTN can be used to improve transfer efficiency for a bus transport system.
