The geography of antidepressant, antipsychotic, and stimulant utilization in the United States

► We identify overlapping clusters of antidepressant, antipsychotic and stimulant use. ► Within the stimulant cluster use was 77% higher than in the rest of the country. ► Within the antidepressant cluster use was 46% higher than in the rest of the country. ► Within the antipsychotic cluster use was 42% higher than in the rest of the country. ► Access to care and pharmaceutical marketing explain much of the spatial variation.
