Identification of top priority areas and management landscapes from a national Natura 2000 network

► We do a spatial conservation prioritization for the Finnish Natura 2000 network. ► This analysis facilitates well-informed conservation resource allocation. ► Habitat maintenance is most relevant in the neighbourhood of high-priority areas. ► Several high-priority areas were found outside strictly protected areas. ► This analysis is used by the Finnish Natural Heritage Services at Metsähallitus.
