Characterization and identification of the chemical constituents from tartary buckwheat (Fagopyrum tataricum Gaertn) by high performance liquid chromatography/photodiode array detector/linear ion trap FTICR hybrid mass spectrometry

► HPLC-PDA/LTQ-FTICRMS was applied for the phytochemical analysis of tartary buckwheat. ► A total of 36 chemical compounds were identified by a single run. ► A new phenlypropanoid glycoside was found in tartary buckwheat. ► The characteristic fragmentations of phenylpropanoid glycosides were summarized.
