Hypolipidemic and antioxidant activities of thymoquinone and limonene in atherogenic suspension fed rats

► Thymoquinone (TQ) and limonene (LMN) have hypolipidemic and antioxidant properties. ► Feeding of atherogenic suspension induces lipidemic oxidative stress in rats. ► TQ and LMN ameliorated all the adverse alteration in lipid profile and HMG-CoA reductase. ► These compounds especially TQ may be used in free radical related disorder like CHD.
