Endocrine disruptor activity in bottled mineral and flavoured water

► Endocrine disrupting activity was investigated in bottled mineral water. ► Oestrogen, androgen, progestagen and glucocorticoid reporter gene assays were used. ► One or more classes of hormonal activity was detected in 78% of samples. ► Levels detected for each class of endocrine disruptor is not of concern for health.
