Bond-forming reactions of N22+ with C2H4, C2H6, C3H4 and C3H6

- Electron transfer dominates the ion yield following reactions of N22+ with C2H4, C2H6, C3H4, n-C3H6 and c-C3H6.
- A small but significant contribution (5-7%) to the product ion yield is made by bond-forming reactions.
- Two general classes of bond-forming reactivity, hydride and N+ transfer, are observed in all five collision systems.
