Group theoretical modeling of thermal explosion with reactant consumption

► This article provides reduction of the PDEs describing symmetrical heating of an exothermally reacting medium to ODEs. ► The reduction is based on Lie group method. ► Numerical results for obtained ODEs agree with the previous results for first order reaction. ► New method of boating solutions for nth order reactions is proposed.
