Synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of 3,4-difluoroacetophenone-thiosemicarbazone and its palladium(II) complex: Evaluation of antimicrobial and antitumour activity

- Cis-[Pd(L1)(H2O)2] is synthesized and characterized.
- [Pd(L1)(H2O)2] showed excellent activity against gram −ve E. coli and P. aureginosa.
- Human breast cancer cell lines MDA-MB231 were also found to be sensitive for the complex.
- Band gap calculated for the complex is 2.68 eV, which is indicating its semiconducting property.
