Thermally stable and flame-retardant poly(vinyl alcohol)/montmorillonite aerogel via a facile heat treatment

The PVA/MMT aerogels prepared by a simple freeze-drying and heat treatment process exhibited a significant improvement of thermal stability and flame retardant property.
