Multifunctional role of ionomer: In the as-synthesized Pt/AEI/rGO catalyst, anion exchange ionomer takes the role of the surfactant to stabilize the reduced graphene oxide, the chelating agent to anchor the platinum precursors, the electron-withdrawing agent to contribute electrocatalytic activity and the ion-conductive path to conduct the hydroxide ions.251
