► Developed a control oriented single particle model for a Li-ion battery. ► Developed least squares and recursive parameter estimators for SOH estimation. ► Observed a monotonic increase in the estimates of resistance and diffusion time. ► Correlated the parameter variations to aging mechanisms such as SEI layer growth.
