Effect of Al-doped β-Ni(OH)2 nanosheets on electrochemical behaviors for high performance supercapacitor application

► Al-doped β-Ni(OH)2 nanosheets were prepared by a simple hydrothermal process. ► The effect of Al content on the electrochemical behaviors was investigated clearly. ► The as-prepared Al0.034Co0.966LDH electrode exhibited highest specific capacitance of 2122.6 F g−1 at 1 A g−1.
