High capacity carbon anode for dry polymer lithium-ion batteries

► Composite electrodes of MCMB and PEO were prepared using water as a solvent. ► The effect of VGCF and CNTs as conducting additives on the cyclic performance was examined. ► A high reversible capacity of more than 300 mAh g−1 with an efficiency of 99.4% per cycle was obtained.
