Suppression of aluminum current collector corrosion in ionic liquid containing electrolytes

► PYR14TFSI added to LiTFSI-based organic electrolytes strongly suppresses Al corrosion. ► Al(TFSI)3, which plays a crucial role in the Al protection, was synthesized. ► Solubility tests with Al(TFSI)3 confirmed its low solubility in PYR14TFSI.
