A prediction model based on artificial neural network for surface temperature simulation of nickel-metal hydride battery during charging

► We proposed a prediction model for surface temperature simulation of Ni-MH battery. ► It was an ANN model that developed from BP network. ► The model was of excellent training quality and its prediction was accurate. ► The predicted maximum value implied the battery might be in unsafe case. ► The model could be applied to battery thermal management system.
