A new symmetric solid oxide fuel cell with a samaria-doped ceria framework and a silver-infiltrated electrocatalyst

► A symmetric SOFC with whole cell of SDC framework was fabricated. ► The Ag/SDC electrode showed very promising electrochemical performance. ► The use of silver as the electrocatalyst prevented coke formation over the anode.
