Screening of the alkali-metal ion containing materials from the Inorganic Crystal Structure Database (ICSD) for high ionic conductivity pathways using the bond valence method

► Bond valence method was employed to identify alkali ion conduction pathways. ► We automated calculations and processed ~13000 ICSD entries. ► Calculations reproduced the topology of pathways in previously studied materials. ► Calculations identified a number of new promising materials for further studies.
