Phase transformation related electrical conductivity degradation of NiO doped YSZ

► Conductivity degradation of NiO doped YSZ under SOFC condition is examined. ► Phase transformation area is visually indicated by micro-Raman spectroscopy. ► Conductivity degradation is closely related to the phase transformation of YSZ. ► The oxygen potential in the electrolyte determined the phase transformed area.
