Preparation of magnesium carbonate nanoparticles encapsulated by nanocomposite material derived from fluoroalkyl end-capped vinyltrimethoxysilane oligomer - Application to the surface modification of glass and poly(methyl methacrylate)

- New fluoroalkylated oligomeric silica nanocomposites-encapsulated MgCO3 was applied to the surface modification.
- Fluorinated nanocomposites-encapsulated MgCO3 gives not MgO but MgF2 as their pyrolytic product.
- Fluorinated nanocomposites will be applied to new environmental cyclical fluorine recycle through MgF2 formation.
