Synthesis and structure of Au(I), Cu(I) and Cu(II) complexes with bis(2-pyridyl)diselenide: The copper complexes and its oxidation products

Reactions of bis(2-pyridyl)diselenide with [(Ph3P)AuCl], [(Ph3P)CuCl], CuCl2 and CuBr result in the formation of complexes or cluster compounds of various nuclearity with diselenide, selenolates or seleninate ligands depending on the reaction conditions applied.
