Synthesis, structure and topological analysis of a novel three dimensional Co(II) coordination polymer constructed by an unsymmetrical ligand

A novel 2-fold interpenetrated three dimensional coordination polymer of Co(II) have been synthesized by employing 3-(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-1-yl)-5-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)benzonitrile (BIIBN) under hydrothermal conditions. This complex has (3,3,4,5)-connected 4-nodal pkb8 net with point symbol {4.62}2{42.66.82}{63}{65.8}.
