Triterpenoids and phenolic compounds from Croton macrostachyus

- Fourteen secondary metabolites were isolated from Croton macrostachyus.
- Five compounds were isolated from the genus Croton for the first time.
- Triterpenes of lupane and hopane groups might have important chemotaxonomic significance.
