Genetic analysis of mussel (Mytilus coruscus) populations on the coast of East China Sea revealed by ISSR-PCR markers

► 240 samples of mussel distributed in 8 populations were collected from China's coast. ► The genetic structure of 8 populations of mussel was investigated by ISSR. ► The data suggested that significant differentiation occurred among the populations. ► The populations can be divided into two subgroups: Fuzhou population and the others.
