Genetic diversity of the endangered and medically important Lycium ruthenicum Murr. revealed by sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) markers

► SRAP is useful for estimation of genetic diversity of Lycium ruthenicum. ► Thirty-one selected SRAP primer combinations produced 85.04% genetic polymorphism. ► A relatively high level of genetic diversity of L. ruthenicum was detected. ► Results have important implications in conservation of this endangered plant.
