Long interfacial waves on the upper convected Maxwell (UCM) fluid film

► Instability of a very thin UCM liquid film on an inclined plane is investigated. ► Viscoelasticity and van der Waals force are included into the governing equations. ► The analytical solutions are obtained by utilizing long-wave perturbation method. ► The influence of some parameters is discussed in both linear and non-linear steps.
