Investigations into the electrochemical characteristics of nickel oxide hydroxide/multi-walled carbon nanotube nanocomposites for use as supercapacitor electrodes

► Supercapacitor electrodes of NiOOH/MWNT nanocomposite were chemically precipitated. ► Specific capacitance (2436 F g−1) and surface area (274.32 m2 g−1) were found for 50 wt.% MWNTs at 10 mV s−1. ► Energy density and power density were 82.8 W h kg−1 and 8.5 kW kg−1, respectively.
