Poly (ɛ-caprolactone)/siloxane biohybrids with application in “smart windows”

► The authors have prepared ionically-conducting membranes for the specific requirements of an electrochromic device. ► Organic/inorganic hybrid materials with potential application in practical devices have been characterized. ► The thermal and electrochemical stabilities of these hybrid materials were found to be appropriate for the prototype device developed.
