Na3Tb(PO4)2: Synthesis, crystal structure and greenish emitting properties

For this first time, the crystal structure and photoluminescence properties of compound Na3Tb(PO4)2 were studied. Refinement of the structure is complicated by two components non-merohedral twinning. Under 370 nm light excitation, Na3Tb(PO4)2 shows intense greenish emission which is attributed to the characteristic f→f transation of Tb3+ ions.285
