Effects of lanthanum-based perovskite coatings on the formation of oxide scale for ferritic SOFC interconnect

► Perovskite coatings provided Mn and Cr to grow coarser Mn-Cr spinel grains. ► Perovskite coatings provided Mn to enrich Mn contents in Mn-Cr spinel grains. ► Mn/Cr ratios in spinel grains revealed an inverse relation with ASR values. ► ASR difference was attributed to the Mn contents and sizes of spinel grains.
