Recycling the biowaste to produce nitrogen and sulfur self-doped porous carbon as an efficient catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction

Under N2 atmosphere at 800 °C, the wasted sweet potato vines is deliberately transformed into nitrogen, sulfur-co-doped carbon, which shows a much higher oxygen reduction electrocatalytic performance than that of commercially available or similar platinum-based electrodes in alkaline electrolyte.
