L10-Mn55Ga45 was synthesized by arc melting, followed by posted annealing. FeCo nanoparticles were synthesized by a wet chemistry process. L10-Mn55Ga45/FeCo composites were synthesized by cryogenic ball milling. In three different bathes, the FeCo mass percentage was controlled as 5%, 10% and 15%, respectively. The magnetic exchange coupling between FeCo and L10-Mn55Ga45 was investigated by VSM. The results showed that when FeCo was 5% and 10%, effective exchange coupling and increased maximum energy product were observed in the composites. However, when the FeCo mass percentage was increased to 15%, both magnetic exchange coupling and maximum energy products were reduced in the composite.
