In this work, the highly uniform hybrid nanoporous carbons (HPCs) have been prepared by employing chemical vapor deposition (CVD) approach to grow carbon nanotubes (CNTs) on Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks (ZIF-67) and then subjected to anode for lithium ion batteries (LIBs). In terms of HPCs, CNTs act as bridge linking NPCs, resulting in net-work structure and thus improved conductivity. When employed as anode material for lithium ion batteries (LIBs), the HPCs deliver a high initial capacity of 677â¯mAh/g at current density of 50â¯mAh/g. Significantly, the capacity can be maintained at 312â¯mAh/g after 100 cycles, exhibiting 46% remaining. Even at high charge rate of 1.0â¯A/g, a decent capacity of 261.3â¯mAh/g can still be achieved, exhibiting excellent cycling stability.
