Synthesis and characterization of twined flat-peach-like ZnO

► A novel twined flat-peach-like ZnO was synthesized by hydrothermal method. ► The shape and size of ZnO can be controlled by altering reaction time. ► The photocurrent of the twined ZnO structure is also investigated.
