Preparation of disk shaped ZnO particles using surfactant and their PL properties

► Disked-shaped ZnO particles were prepared using surfactant and cosurfactant via hydrothermal process. ► The presence of surfactant and cosurfactant suppressed the growth of ZnO particles along C-axis. ► Photoluminescence of disked shaped ZnO was improved dramatically due to the Na doping.
