X-ray elastic strain analysis of compressed Au thin film on polymer substrate

► In situ X-ray strain analysis of compressed Au films on pre-stretched polymer substrate was made. ► Crystallite Group Method has been used for two geometries (longitudinal and transversal). ► The overall approach is available up to high compressive stresses (640 MPa).
