The increase in nuclear fusion reaction yield due to ion channeling in microcrystals

The increase in nuclear fusion reaction yields relative to the theoretically predictions was observed in collisions of deuterium ions at energies below 10 keV with a number of metals presaturated with deuterium. In this paper, this effect is explained by focusing of trajectories during ion channeling in metal microcrystals.
