The influence of boron contents on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Cr-B-N thin films

► We deposit seven Cr-B-N coatings with different B contents. ► Increasing the B content will decrease the grain size of the coating. ► The CrN nanograins and large intergranular amorphous BN phase make the hardness of coating decrease.
