A design and characteristic experiment of the small annular linear induction electromagnetic pump

► A small electromagnetic pump was developed for the liquid sodium circulation. ► The pump design variables were analyzed by using an equivalent circuit method. ► The performance of the pump was tested by changing the electrical input. ► At the nominal input power, the developed pressure was 1.25 bar at 150 °C. ► The test on the pump showed good agreement with the theoretical calculation.
