Thermal performance characteristics of a wraparound loop heat pipe (WLHP) charged with R134A

► A Wraparound loop heat pipe (WLHP) thermal performance has been characterised. ► The variation of the WLHP thermal resistance has been investigated. ► We discussed the nature of the boiling heat transfer mechanism within the WLHP. ► The results will improve sizing and performance prediction of WLHP heat exchangers.
